Direct Support Professional Overnight Shift Care Options Support Services Jacksonville, FL 32277 Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional to provide essential support to individuals with disabilities, including those with autism. This role is crucial in enhancing the quality of life for our clients by assisting them in daily living activities and fostering independence. The ideal candidate will have experience in various care settings such as nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or group homes. Duties As a Direct Support Professional, your responsibilities will include: Assisting clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation. Supporting individuals in developing life skills and promoting independence through personalized care plans. Providing companionship and emotional support to enhance clients’ well-being. Implementing safety protocols and ensuring a safe environment for all clients. Assisting with mobility needs, including lifting and transferring clients as required. Documenting client progress and reporting any changes in behavior or health to the appropriate personnel. Engaging clients in recreational activities to promote social interaction and cognitive stimulation. Administering first aid when necessary and following all health and safety guidelines.

Experience Candidates should possess:

Previous experience working in home health care, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or group homes is preferred. Familiarity with working with individuals on the autism spectrum is highly desirable. Knowledge of first aid techniques and emergency response procedures. Ability to cook nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment. A genuine passion for helping others and making a positive impact on their lives.

Highschool Diploma Local Law Background Check Level 2

Background Screening Medication Administration Certified CPR and First Aid Certified Shift:
