DSP (Direct Support Professional) St. Levon Haven Jacksonville, FL 32207 Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals with varying needs, helping them achieve their personal goals and improve their quality of life. You will work closely with clients in assisted living, hospice care, and long-term care settings, ensuring they receive the highest level of care and support. Duties Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management. Implement care plans tailored to individual client needs, focusing on promoting independence and enhancing well-being. Monitor and document vital signs as necessary, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive and encouraging environment. Assist in social work activities that promote community engagement and socialization among clients. Support clients with dementia care strategies to manage symptoms effectively and enhance their quality of life. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care delivery and continuity of services. Requirements Previous experience in assisted living, hospice care, or long-term care settings is preferred. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and the ability to maintain client confidentiality is essential. Familiarity with vital signs monitoring and basic health assessments is a plus. Strong interpersonal skills with a passion for senior care and supporting individuals with diverse needs. Ability to develop and implement effective care plans tailored to individual client requirements. Experience in home care or social work is advantageous but not mandatory.
