Your primary responsibility will be to assist clients with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and well-being while promoting independence. This position requires a dedicated individual who is passionate about enhancing the quality of life for those with varying needs, including the elderly, individuals with developmental disabilities, post-surgical patients, hospice care, etc. Duties Provide patient care by assisting with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility. Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary requirements and preferences. Administer medications as prescribed and monitor clients for any side effects or changes in condition. Assist with long-term care needs, ensuring clients receive appropriate support throughout their daily routines. Launder clothing and bedding as needed to maintain a clean living environment. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations while managing patient information. Support clients with home community care activities, including social engagement and recreational activities. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care plans are followed. Skills Strong understanding of patient care principles and practices. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality is maintained. Experience in meal preparation tailored to individual dietary needs. Familiarity with long-term care settings and best practices for supporting clients over extended periods. Proficiency in using systems for documentation and reporting on client progress. Experience working with individuals who have developmental disabilities is a plus. Excellent communication skills, patience, and empathy are essential for building trusting relationships with clients.
