The ideal candidate will assist individuals with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and well-being while promoting independence. This role requires a keen understanding of medical terminology, adherence to HIPAA regulations, and the ability to observe and report changes in a patient’s condition. Responsibilities Assist clients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene. Launder clothing and linens as needed to maintain a clean environment. Administer medications as prescribed and ensure proper documentation of medication administration. Provide patient observation to monitor health status and report any changes to healthcare professionals. Offer support for clients with dementia or memory care needs, employing appropriate techniques for engagement and safety. Assist with catheter care as required, ensuring comfort and hygiene for the client. Maintain a safe and clean living environment for clients by performing light housekeeping duties. Uphold confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations in all interactions with clients and their families. Experience Previous experience as a Home Health Aide or in a similar caregiving role is preferred. Knowledge of medical terminology is beneficial for effective communication within the healthcare team. Familiarity with CPR techniques is advantageous for ensuring client safety. Experience in dementia care or memory care settings is highly desirable. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and their families.
