In this role, you will provide essential support and assistance to individuals with disabilities or special needs, ensuring their well-being and enhancing their quality of life. You will work closely with clients in various settings, including group homes, assisted living facilities, and through home care services. Your contributions will help promote independence and dignity for those you serve. Responsibilities Implementation of daily tasks/ goals associated with each individual’s Support Plan Assistance with ADL’s daily, household chores, meals, etc Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance clients’ social interactions. Assist with mobility and physical activities; lift clients as necessary to ensure their safety. Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping duties. Engage clients in community activities Communicate with management in a timely manner Record accurate documentation of services provided and progress notes daily Skills Experience in caregiving or home health care is preferred; familiarity with group home settings is a plus. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trusting relationships with clients. Knowledge of meal preparation techniques that cater to dietary restrictions or preferences. Ability to perform light cleaning tasks to maintain a hygienic living space for clients. Certification in CPR is advantageous; willingness to obtain certification if not currently held is required. Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to help others are essential traits for success in this role.
