Job Summary:

The Direct Support Professional is responsible for providing assistance to individuals in a group home or residential facility.

Essential Functions:

Assist with the daily activities of individuals in a group home or residential facility. Maintain a safe and healthy environment by ensuring the following standards are met: (i) providing protection from environmental elements; (ii) dressing and grooming individuals; (iii) grooming themselves; (iv) participating in individual activities; (v) enjoying leisure activities; (vi) eating at designated meal times. Provide quality interactions by responding to individuals’ needs; offering assistance and assistance needed; following through; completing tasks as assigned. Plan and follow through with individualized plans of care. Provide documentation of daily activities by completing daily documentation required by the agency. Complete required monthly documentation by the agency. Demonstrate excellent customer service skills. Perform all other duties as assigned. Have a structure and love attitude!

Education and Experience:

High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
