The Home Health Aide is a frontline employee who reports directly to the registered nurse who is in charge of the elderly patient. The Home Health Aide is responsible for following the written assessment and instructions provided to the Home Health Aide by the registered nurse. The written assessment and instructions includes the elderly patient’s schedule of prescription medications, schedule for bathing and grooming the patient, light housekeeping services, and meal preparations. Meal preparations and snacks are usually three times per day. The Home Health Aide will prepare and set the table or provide the meals to bed ridden patients. The light housekeeping services require mopping the floors, cleaning the dishes, and changing the linens. The Home Health Aide will also transport the patient to and from their doctors’ appointments. The Home Health Aide will also shop for the patient’s groceries and provide companionship. In general, the Home Health Aide assists one or two patients per week and the average shift is approximately 6 hours. The Home Health Aide is a full-time position where the employee will work 40 hours per week. The Home Health Aide will transmit their location and upload a daily timesheet using their smart phone or tablet. Minimum of one year experience in the medical profession. Employer will also accept applicants who are a certified nursing assistant. The Home Health Aide must possess a certificate for basic life support or CPR. The Home Health Aide must also be certified with HIPAA. The Home Health Aide must also be certified with Alzheimer’s and HIV and Other Infectious Disease Management. Florida Driver’s License and Level II Background Check. Travel within Leon, Jefferson, Wakulla, Gadsden, Madison, Franklin, and Taylor Counties, Florida.
