Home Health Aide (HHA) PFMDINC Home Health Agency Miami Shores, FL 33153 Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Home Health Aide to provide essential support to individuals in their homes or community settings. The ideal candidate will assist clients with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and well-being while promoting independence. This role is crucial in enhancing the quality of life for those with developmental disabilities and other health-related challenges. Responsibilities Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, grooming, and dressing. Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs. Monitor and record vital signs as needed, ensuring any changes are communicated to healthcare professionals. Provide companionship and engage clients in meaningful activities to promote mental and emotional well-being. Assist clients with mobility and physical tasks, including lifting as necessary while adhering to safety protocols. Support individuals with developmental disabilities in achieving their personal goals and enhancing their independence. Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations regarding privacy and confidentiality. Document care provided and report any concerns or changes in client condition to the appropriate healthcare personnel. Qualifications Previous experience as a Home Health Aide or in a similar caregiving role is preferred. Knowledge of meal preparation techniques and dietary requirements for various health conditions. Familiarity with working with individuals with developmental disabilities or experience in a nursing home setting is advantageous. Ability to perform basic health monitoring tasks, including taking vital signs. Strong interpersonal skills with a compassionate approach to caregiving. Must be able to lift clients safely and assist them with mobility as needed. Understanding of HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining client confidentiality. High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications related to home health care are a plus.
