Patient Care Associate in Pediatrics Rainbow Kids

Aloma Avenue, Winter Park, FL 32792 Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Home Health Aide to provide essential support to patients in our center. The ideal candidate will provide direct, hands-on personal care and supportive services to medically complex and/or developmentally delayed children in a Pediatric Prescribed Extended Care (PPEC) center. The HHA works closely under the supervision of licensed nursing staff to ensure a safe, nurturing, and developmentally supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist children with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, toileting, dressing, feeding, grooming, and mobility. Provide emotional support and companionship to pediatric clients. Monitor and report changes in the child’s condition or behavior to nursing staff. Assist nursing staff during medical treatments and therapies as directed. Maintain a clean and organized environment including sanitizing toys, equipment, and work areas. Support therapeutic activities and participate in play-based learning with the children. Ensure safety standards and infection control protocols are followed at all times. Assist with transportation to and from the facility if applicable.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED required. Valid and active HHA certification Current CPR (Pediatric) and First Aid certification. Experience with pediatric or special needs populations preferred. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and engage in physical activity as needed for child care.
