As a Home Health Aide, you will play a critical role in assisting clients with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and well-being while promoting independence. This position requires a strong commitment to patient care and adherence to health and safety standards. Responsibilities Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation. Monitor and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, and blood pressure, as directed by healthcare professionals. Maintain accurate medical records and documentation of care provided while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment. Assist clients with mobility and transfers to ensure safety and comfort. Help manage medication schedules as prescribed by healthcare providers. Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare teams regarding patient care needs and changes in condition. Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills in home community care. Requirements Previous experience in home health or patient care is preferred but not required. Knowledge of home health practices, including familiarity with ADLs and vital sign monitoring. Understanding of HIPAA regulations to maintain patient confidentiality. Certification in CPR is highly desirable. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and families.
