Palm Beach County Duties Responsibilities and Duties:

Performs personal care activities that assist the patient with activities of daily living which include (but are not limited to): Personal hygiene (assisting to bathroom or in using a bedpan, bathing, care of mouth, shaving, skin, and hair) Ambulation/Transfers Eating Dressing/Shaving Prepares meals and snacks according to instructions Accompany patient on errands or medical appointments. With certain clients only Performs housekeeping activities which include (but are not limited to): vacuuming, dusting, sweeping or mopping floors, doing dishes, changing bed linens, doing laundry and cleaning bathroom Offer companionship and engage clients in meaningful conversations or activities. Implement care plans developed by healthcare professionals. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to maintain client confidentiality. Support clients with developmental disabilities by fostering independence and skill development. Provide patient monitoring to ensure safety and well-being at all times. Assist in hospice care as needed, providing comfort and support during end-of-life stages. Strong patient monitoring skills to identify changes in health status promptly. Familiarity with home community care practices and resources available for clients. Ability to prepare meals that meet specific dietary requirements effectively. Experience in dementia care, understanding the unique needs of patients suffering from cognitive decline. Compassionate approach towards patient care, demonstrating empathy and respect for clients’ dignity. Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
