Direct Support Professional Brighter Days Caring Hands llc 8151 Redfield Drive, Port Richey, FL 34668 Job Summary The Direct Support Professional (DSP) plays a vital role in providing assistance and support to individuals with developmental disabilities, seniors, and those requiring specialized care. This position focuses on enhancing the quality of life for clients by promoting independence, dignity, and respect. The DSP will work closely with clients to assist them in daily activities, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being. Duties Provide personal care assistance including bathing, grooming, and dressing. Support clients in meal preparation and dietary needs. Assist with medication management and monitoring vital signs as needed. Facilitate social interactions and community involvement to promote engagement. Implement individualized care plans tailored to each client’s specific needs. Maintain a safe and clean environment for clients at all times. Document daily activities, progress, and any changes in client condition. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care. Skills Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or in senior care settings is preferred. Knowledge of vital signs monitoring and basic health assessments. Familiarity with home care practices, including meal preparation and hygiene assistance. Understanding of dementia care strategies and hospice care principles.
