Job Summary:

A Home Health Aide (HHA) provides essential personal care and supportive services to clients in their homes under the direction and supervision of a registered nurse or healthcare professional. The HHA helps clients maintain independence, dignity, and a high quality of life while ensuring safety and comfort in their daily living activities.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist with personal care activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and oral hygiene. Help clients with mobility, transfers, walking, and range-of-motion exercises. Perform light housekeeping duties including laundry, vacuuming, and dishwashing. Prepare and serve meals according to the client’s dietary needs. Monitor and record changes in the client’s condition and report to the nurse or supervisor. Assist with medication reminders (as per care plan). Provide companionship and emotional support. Follow the care plan and report any changes or concerns to the care team. Maintain accurate documentation of care provided and time spent with the client. Adhere to infection control and safety procedures.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED preferred. Completion of a state-approved Home Health Aide training program. Current HHA certification (if required by state regulations). CPR certification preferred. Ability to lift, transfer, and move clients as needed. Strong communication and observation skills. Reliable, compassionate, and respectful.

Working Conditions:
