Responsibilities:
Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, grooming, and nutrition. Support clients in developing life skills and achieving personal goals. Promote community inclusion by encouraging participation in social, recreational, and community activities. Foster a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for all individuals. Advocate for clients’ needs and preferences, ensuring their voices are heard. Collaborate with families, healthcare providers, and community resources to coordinate care and facilitate community engagement. Maintain accurate documentation of services provided and progress made. Follow safety protocols at all times to ensure the well-being of clients. Promote independence and confidence in each individual’s unique abilities.
Qualifications:
Compassionate, patient, and respectful attitude. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Prior experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred. Knowledge of community resources and inclusion practices a plus. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (if applicable).
