Job Summary:

John-Wesley Villas is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Resident Care Assistant / Certified Medication Aide (CMA) to join our team. This role is essential in providing high-quality care and assistance to our senior residents while promoting a safe and comfortable living environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with seniors and a commitment to excellence in resident care.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility. Administer medications according to state regulations and facility policies. Monitor and report changes in residents’ health conditions Maintain accurate documentation of care provided. Foster a warm and engaging environment for residents Ensure residents’ safety and report and concerns to supervisors. Follow infection control and safety protocols at all times. Perform light housekeeping duties related to resident care. Work collaboratively with other staff to ensure a high standard of care.

Requirements:

High school diploma or GED required Current Certified Medication Aide (CMA) certification. Previous experience in senior living, long-term care, or healthcare setting. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks effectively. Compassionate, patient, and respectful demeanor towards seniors. Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs. as required. Must pass a background check and drug screening.
