The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for clients, including those with disabilities or requiring long-term care. This role involves working closely with clients in their homes or community settings, ensuring they receive the care and support necessary for their well-being. Responsibilities Provide direct support and assistance with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene. Assist clients with meal preparation and ensure they have nutritious food options available. Help maintain a clean and safe living environment by performing light housekeeping duties. Implement behavior management strategies as needed to support clients’ emotional and physical well-being. Facilitate social interactions and community engagement for clients to promote independence and enhance their quality of life. Document care provided and report any changes in client condition or needs to the supervising nurse or case manager. Support clients with mobility assistance and transportation as required. Run errands as needed by the client. Qualifications Previous experience in caregiving, home care, or direct support is preferred but not required. Knowledge of behavior management techniques is a plus. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds. Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to help others are essential qualities for success in this role. Ability to assist individuals with disabilities and provide long-term care as needed. Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours based on client needs.
