Personal Care Assistant (PCA) NuLife Senior Care Summerville, GA 30747 Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for seniors and individuals with disabilities, ensuring their comfort and well-being in both home care and nursing home settings. This role is vital in delivering personalized care, promoting independence, and fostering a positive environment for our clients. Duties Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, grooming, and dressing. Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and preferences. Monitor and record vital signs as needed, ensuring any changes are communicated to healthcare professionals. Provide companionship and engage clients in meaningful conversation and activities to promote emotional well-being. Assist with mobility, including lifting or transferring clients as necessary while ensuring safety protocols are followed. Support clients with behavior management strategies to enhance their daily experiences. Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, including light housekeeping tasks as required. Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement personalized care plans for each client. Experience Previous experience in long-term care, senior care, or home care is preferred but not mandatory. Familiarity with nursing home environments is a plus. Knowledge of systems related to personal care services is beneficial. Experience working with individuals with disabilities is highly valued. Ability to demonstrate compassion, patience, and excellent communication skills when interacting with clients and their families.
