The ideal candidate will assist with daily living activities, ensuring the comfort and well-being of patients, particularly in geriatrics and inpatient environments. This role is vital in promoting the health and independence of individuals receiving care. Duties Assist patients with personal hygiene, grooming, and dressing. Support mobility by helping patients move safely within their environment. Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance patient well-being. Monitor and report changes in patient health status to nursing staff. Assist with meal preparation and feeding as necessary. Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients. Document care provided and communicate effectively with healthcare team members. Participate in training sessions related to patient care techniques, especially in specialized areas such as PICU or outpatient settings. Skills Strong understanding of patient care principles, particularly in geriatrics and medical-surgical settings. Familiarity with healthcare environments such as teaching hospitals, Level II Trauma Centers, and outpatient clinics. Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, including nurses and physicians in various departments such as OR or inpatient care. Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals. Compassionate demeanor with a strong commitment to providing high-quality care. Basic knowledge of safety protocols and infection control measures relevant to patient care.
