Robinhill Drive, Tucker, GA 30084 Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities. This role is crucial in enhancing the quality of life for clients, particularly those with developmental disabilities, autism, or dementia. The ideal candidate will be patient, empathetic, and skilled in various caregiving tasks, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for our clients. Responsibilities Assist clients with personal hygiene and grooming tasks, including bathing, dressing, and toileting. Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the well-being of clients. Help with meal preparation and cooking nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs. Assist clients in mobility and transferring safely from one location to another, including lifting when necessary. Support clients with daily activities such as medication reminders, light housekeeping, and laundry. Engage clients in social activities and recreational programs to promote mental stimulation and social interaction. Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in client condition to the supervising nurse or social worker. Provide care in various settings including homes, nursing facilities, or hospice care environments. Skills Experience working with individuals with autism or developmental disabilities is highly desirable. Familiarity with dementia care practices to support clients effectively. Previous experience in nursing homes or similar caregiving environments is beneficial. Proficient in meal preparation and cooking skills to ensure proper nutrition for clients. Ability to perform CPR and first aid as needed; certification preferred. Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication with clients and their families.
