Personal Care Assistant (PCA) ABA Homecare, LLC DeKalb County, GA Job Summary As a Personal Care Assistant, you will be responsible for delivering essential daily living assistance to clients in their homes. The ideal candidate will assist with personal care tasks, meal preparation, and daily activities, promoting the overall health and happiness of our clients. Duties
- Provide direct support to clients in their homes or personal care facilities
- Assist individuals with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, grooming, toileting, and personal hygiene
- Prepare and serve meals based on dietary needs and restrictions, offering assistance with eating when required
- Assist with turning and positioning of clients to ensure comfort and prevent bedsores
- Drive clients to appointments or outings when necessary
- Offer caregiving services with empathy, dignity, and respect
- Maintain accurate documentation of any changes in client status Skills
- Experience in senior care or related field is preferred
- Proficiency in meal preparation and housekeeping tasks
- Ability to monitor vital signs and provide basic healthcare support
- Knowledge of direct support practices and home community care
- Familiarity with resident rights and behavior management techniques
- Understanding of long-term care principles Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a Personal Care training program with demonstrated competency
- Ability to handle the demands of the job with maturity and professionalism
- Minimum age requirement of 18 years old
- Possession of a valid driver’s license and auto insurance
- Familiarity with caregiving practices and techniques
- CPR and First Aid certification, Covid & Flu vaccinated.
