Summary As a Direct Support Professional at CHCS, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients by providing essential support and care. This position is crucial for ensuring that our patients receive the assistance they need to maintain their independence and dignity. Responsibilities Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming. Monitor patient health and report any changes to the healthcare team. Provide companionship and emotional support to clients. Help with meal preparation and nutritional needs as required. Administer medications as directed by healthcare professionals. Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients. Document patient progress and communicate effectively with family members. Take client on outings Requirements Experience in patient care or a related field is preferred. Strong interpersonal skills with a compassionate approach to caregiving. Ability to perform basic medical tasks such as CPR certification is a plus. Knowledge of senior care practices and hospice care is beneficial. Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with clients and families.
