PCA Personal Care Assistant 2.9 2.9 out of 5 stars 476 Oxford Road, Oxford, GA 30054 Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities. The ideal candidate will work closely with clients in various settings, including clinics, hospitals, and outpatient facilities, ensuring their comfort and well-being. This role is vital in enhancing the quality of life for patients, particularly in environments such as Level I and Level II Trauma Centers, teaching hospitals, and specialized units like PICU and geriatrics. Duties Assist clients with personal hygiene tasks such as bathing, grooming, and dressing. Help with mobility and transportation needs within the facility or home environment. Provide companionship and emotional support to clients during their daily routines. Monitor clients’ health status by observing changes in their physical or emotional condition and reporting any concerns to healthcare professionals. Assist with meal preparation and feeding when necessary. Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by ensuring that living spaces are tidy and organized. Support nursing staff in clinical settings by performing basic care tasks as directed. Participate in training sessions to enhance skills related to emergency medicine and hospital care. Skills Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with clients, families, and healthcare professionals. Knowledge of basic personal care techniques and practices relevant to geriatrics and hospital medicine. Familiarity with emergency medicine protocols within clinic settings or trauma centers is preferred. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated. Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life. Flexibility to adapt to varying patient needs across different healthcare environments including outpatient services.
