This role is vital in ensuring the comfort and well-being of individuals requiring assistance with daily activities. The ideal candidate will have experience in diverse medical environments, including Level II Trauma Centers, medical-surgical units, outpatient clinics, and geriatrics. Responsibilities Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation. Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the quality of life for patients. Monitor and document patient health status, reporting any changes to nursing staff. Support mobility by assisting patients with walking or transferring from beds to wheelchairs. Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients by adhering to hygiene standards. Collaborate with healthcare teams in various settings including inpatient units, outpatient clinics, emergency medicine, and OR environments. Assist in basic medical tasks as directed by nursing staff, ensuring compliance with care protocols. Qualifications Previous experience as a Personal Care Assistant or in a related healthcare role is preferred. Familiarity with medical environments such as PICU, geriatrics, emergency medicine, and outpatient care is a plus. Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients and healthcare professionals. Compassionate demeanor with a commitment to providing high-quality care. Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends as needed. Certification in CPR and First Aid is advantageous.
