PCA Personal Care Assistant Graceful Hands Home Care Americus, GA 31719 Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities. The ideal candidate will have experience in various healthcare settings, including geriatrics, outpatient clinics, and inpatient facilities. This role is vital in enhancing the quality of life for our clients by ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. Duties Assist clients with personal hygiene tasks, including bathing, grooming, and dressing. Help with mobility and transferring clients to and from beds, chairs, or wheelchairs. Provide companionship and emotional support to clients. Monitor and report any changes in clients’ health or behavior to the healthcare team. Assist with meal preparation and feeding as needed. Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping duties. Support clients in following their prescribed care plans as directed by healthcare professionals. Collaborate effectively with other healthcare staff, including those in teaching hospitals, emergency medicine, and trauma centers. Skills Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and their families. Experience or knowledge in geriatrics, outpatient care, hospital medicine, PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit), and emergency medicine is highly desirable. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team within various healthcare settings such as clinics and level II trauma centers.
