The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of various care techniques, including dementia care and senior care, and will be committed to enhancing the quality of life for our clients. This role requires a blend of medical knowledge and interpersonal skills to ensure the well-being and comfort of those we serve. Responsibilities Assist clients with personal hygiene tasks, including bathing, grooming, and dressing. Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment. Help with mobility and transportation needs, ensuring safety during transitions. Monitor and document clients’ health status, including any changes in condition or behavior. Administer medications as prescribed and assist with medical appointments when necessary. Maintain cleanliness and organization in the client’s living space. Implement aseptic techniques while providing care to prevent infection. Support clients with meal preparation and nutritional needs. Engage clients in meaningful activities that promote mental stimulation and physical health. Qualifications Previous experience in personal care or a related field is preferred. Knowledge of dementia care, senior care practices, and basic anatomy is essential. Familiarity with medical records management and outpatient care processes is a plus. Ability to perform basic medical-surgical tasks as required by client needs. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
