This role is essential in providing support and assistance to individuals in a personal care home or group home setting. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for residents, ensuring their comfort and dignity while promoting independence. Duties Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, grooming, and dressing. Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary needs and preferences. Provide companionship and engage residents in meaningful conversations and activities. Assist with memory care tasks, ensuring residents feel safe and supported. Maintain a clean and organized living environment for residents. Support residents in understanding their rights and advocate for their needs. Document care provided and any changes in resident conditions accurately within established systems. Collaborate with other staff members to ensure comprehensive care for individuals with disabilities. Requirements Previous experience in a personal care home or group home setting is preferred but not required. Strong interpersonal skills with a caring attitude towards working with individuals with disabilities. Ability to perform meal preparation and maintain cleanliness in the living environment. Knowledge of resident rights and commitment to upholding them at all times. Familiarity with memory care techniques is a plus. Must be able to work effectively as part of a team while also being self-motivated. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for documenting care accurately.
