JOB SUMMARY
Provide efficient, courteous and attentive services to residents and their guest under the direction of The Gardens Director of Nursing and The Gardens Supervisor. Will work primarily with adults and geriatric residents. Qualifications
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
High school graduate or certified equivalent. Completion of Certified Nursing Assistant certificate.
Licensure:
Current CPR required
Requirements:
According to the Personal Care Home Guidelines, staff must receive training in, CPR, Emergency evacuation procedures, medical and social needs and characteristics of the resident population, resident rights and receive a copy of the Long Term Care Abuse reporting act within the first sixty (60) days of employment. Must be a minimum of 18 years of age.
Experience:
Previous experience with geriatric residents desirable
Skills:
Must have sincere desire to work with geriatrics and possess knowledge of medical and social needs of geriatric residents. Must demonstrate ability to follow instructions and use proper body mechanics. Must demonstrate effective time management skills, show caring friendly attitude and support the values of our organization.
PHYSICAL, MENTAL, ENVIRONMENTAL AND WORKING CONDITIONS
Works in supportive care setting with residents experiencing a wide range of needs. Required to work flexible schedule including some holidays and weekends. Requires full range of body motion, which may include handling and lifting patients. Good manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination are required. Requires standing and walking for extensive periods of time. Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range. Ability to read, write and follow oral instructions.
