Direct Service Worker (DSW) – Days/Nights 2.1 2.1 out of 5 stars 1065 Milne Circle, Covington, LA 70435 We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Night Shift Direct Service Worker to provide skilled care at Alexander Milne Developmental Services. This role involves assisting with physical care, personal hygiene, and daily living activities for individuals who are unable to independently perform these tasks. You’ll also participate in recreational activities, document consumer behavior, and monitor changes in health or behavior. Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, grooming, and dressing. Implement and follow individualized care plans tailored to each client’s needs. Provide support in daily living activities such as meal preparation, cooking, and household chores. Observe and report any changes in clients’ physical or emotional well-being to the appropriate healthcare professionals. Facilitate social interactions and community engagement for clients to promote inclusion. Maintain a clean and safe living environment for clients. Collaborate with nurses and other healthcare staff to ensure comprehensive care is provided. Document client progress and activities as required. Other assigned duties
Qualifications:
High School diploma or GED Valid driver’s license No criminal record Current CPR and First Aid certification -preferred Basic computer skills for documentation
Physical Requirements:
