out of 5 stars Hammond, LA 70401 The Hammond Region of Gulf Coast Social Services is seeking a Direct Support Worker in the Hammond area to work with an individual with disabilities. The client needs someone from around 3 pm to 9:30 pm on Monday through Friday and 7 am – 3pm on Saturday (Sundays off). Gulf Coast Social Services offers a friendly environment, paid training, mileage reimbursements to any employees who transport their clients in the community and benefits to full-time workers (health insurance/dental insurance/paid time off, etc.). We are seeking friendly, patient, responsible and dependable people that enjoy helping others live as independently as possible in the community. We are looking for applicants who take pride in their work and who really need and want steady employment with their client(s). Some clients may just need monitoring, interaction and transportation assistance while others may need assistance with grooming, bathing, toileting, meal preparation, light housekeeping, transportation and shopping.
