We are looking for Direct Support Professionals (DSP) to work in our residential homes in Taunton, MA, supporting adult individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities for evening and overnight shifts. This is a care taking role where you will roll up your sleeves and dive in to working with a group of individuals who may need guidance and role modeling. A Direct Support Professional (DSP) is responsible for maintaining a safe, supportive and therapeutic environment in a group home setting which fosters growth and development while facilitating mutual aid and self-help skills among individuals. In your role, you will work together with the people we serve, their families, friends, employers, and other support staff to transform their lives by either building independence skills or increasing each person’s quality of life. As a Direct Support Professional (DSP), you will provide direct care to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities in group home. A Direct Support Professional (DSP) has a range of duties include administrating medication under the Medication Administration Plan (MAP), implementing treatment plans, and assisting people with activities of daily living, such as household chores, cooking, and personal hygiene. You also strengthen residents’ connection to their community by providing transportation on outings such as shopping and doctor’s appointments. We mainly have evening shifts and overnight (asleep and awake) shifts available. The Shifts available in Taunton are: Program 1:
Sundays, Mondays, Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays:
Awake overnights shifts 12:00 AM to 8:00 AM (MAP certification preferred)
Sundays, Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays:
8:00 AM to 4:00
PM Sundays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays:
4:00 PM to 12:00 AM Program 2: Sundays through Saturdays; 1st shift; ranging from 7:00 AM-9:00 AM to 3:00 PM Sundays through Saturdays; overnight
AWAKE, 11
00 PM to 9:00
AM Sundays:
3:00 PM to 11:00 PM
QUALIFICATIONS
A current and valid United States driver’s license and 1+ years’ of licensed driving experience is required, along with acceptable driving record Fluent in Spanish a plus High School Diploma or equivalent is required Respect
