Job Summary The HHA plays a crucial role in providing compassionate care and support to individuals in their homes. This position involves assisting clients with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of home health practices and be dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for those they serve. We are currently looking for a HHA for clients in New Bedford and surrounding areas such as Fairhaven, Dartmouth, Acushnet, Mattapoisett, and Marion. Our ideal candidate must be willing to travel. This job opening starts with 5-10 hours per week with a potential of becoming fulltime if desired! Duties Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, grooming, and dressing. Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary needs and preferences. Help with household chores including cleaning, laundry, and organization. Develop and implement care plans tailored to individual client needs. Monitor clients’ health status and report any changes or concerns. Provide companionship and engage clients in meaningful activities. Ensure adherence to resident rights and maintain confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Support individuals with disabilities by offering direct support tailored to their unique needs. Requirements Experience or training in first aid and home health practices is preferred. Familiarity with care plans and patient monitoring techniques. Understanding of resident rights and commitment to upholding them. Ability to work effectively with individuals with disabilities. Strong communication skills and a compassionate demeanor. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations related to patient privacy and care. Previous experience in direct support roles is a plus. A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation is required for transportation purposes. HHA Certificate is required This position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about providing high-quality care in a home setting while fostering independence and dignity for clients.
