Direct Support Professional- Saturday & Sundays 3pm-11pm 3.0 3.0 out of 5 stars Cameron, MO 64429 Overview We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professionals (DSP) to provide essential care and support to individuals with disabilities or special needs. As a DSP, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients by assisting them with daily activities, promoting independence, and ensuring their safety and well-being. This position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about caregiving and have experience in patient care, dementia care, or working in group home settings. Duties Provide direct care and support to individuals with disabilities or special needs in various settings, including group homes and assisted living facilities. Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, meal preparation, and medication management. Implement individualized care plans while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect client confidentiality. Monitor clients’ physical and emotional well-being, reporting any changes or concerns to the appropriate healthcare professionals. Engage clients in social activities and community outings to promote socialization and enhance their quality of life. Assist with mobility needs, including lifting and transferring clients as necessary while adhering to proper safety protocols. Maintain accurate documentation of client progress and any incidents that occur during shifts. Qualifications Previous experience in caregiving or direct support roles is preferred; experience in patient care or dementia care is a plus. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining client confidentiality. Ability to lift and assist clients safely; physical stamina is required for this role. CPR certification is desirable; willingness to obtain certification if not already held. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
