Direct Support Professional Embracing Hearts Healthcare Kiln, MS 39556 Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated DSP to join our team at Embracing Hearts Healthcare to care for one of our individuals in the Kiln, MS area. EHH provides services through the Mississippi IDD Waiver, which is a Medicaid Waiver for individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities. We go in home and provide respite services as well and take these individuals into the community. Responsibilities Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management. Provide patient observation to monitor the health and safety of individuals in your care. Support clients in participating in community activities and social events to promote engagement and interaction. Implement individualized care plans tailored to each client’s needs. Document client progress and activities throughout the day. Uphold confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations regarding patient information. Requirements Previous experience working with individuals with disabilities is preferred. Knowledge of patient care practices, including CPR certification, is highly desirable. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and team members. A clean background check is required; candidates must be able to pass any necessary screenings. Compassionate attitude towards assisting individuals with disabilities while promoting their independence. Ability to work flexible hours as needed to meet the needs of clients. Car insurance is required to be able to take individual into the community.
