The Human Resources Office of East Mississippi State Hospital isannouncing an opening for a Support Care Professional Supervisorwhich will be assigned to Inpatient Services.

STARTING SALARY

$3,360 monthly / $19.32 hourly

WORKING HOURS

Monday – Friday 8a to 5p (must be flexible)

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS/CERTIFICATION

Must have 5+ years of related experience, and 1 -2 years ofsupervisory experience. DUTIES Perform patient care tasks properly and in a timely inaccordance with facility standards, policies, procedures and Stateand Federal regulations in addition to Joint CommissionStandards. Documents behavioral, physical, or mental changes in residents,Reports changes to appropriate staff members. Complete ADL’s vital signs, fluid input/output and snack formon each resident daily. Participate in the selection of new employees. Assists intraining new staff. Assists in scheduling staff. Make recommendations for disciplinary actions whennecessary. Maintain a professional attitude and appearance in relating tothe residents and families we serve by adhering to EMSH NursingHome Values (honest, respect, and integrity). To create andmaintain a caring compassionate environment in which ethicalprinciples guide decision making and resources are usedresponsibly. Always utilize therapeutic communication skills with residents,visitors, family members, peers, supervisors, and physicians/nursepractitioners while maintaining principles of customer service andpatient confidentiality in all settings. Attend all mandatory in-service and training including annualin-service, TB screening, CPR, MANDT, and any other mandatory orcalled training or meetings as required or requested. Maintaincurrent/valid nursing license.
