We currently have opportunities for PCAs within the Burlington area. Personal care assistants are required to possess a sympathetic attitude toward the care of the sick, ability to read, write and carry out directions and maturity and ability to deal effectively with the demands of the job.

Duties:

• Provide assistance with daily living activities for clients, including personal hygiene, dressing, grooming, and bathing.
• Assist clients with mobility and transfers, ensuring their safety and well-being.
• Prepare and serve meals according to dietary restrictions and individual preferences.
• Perform light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, dusting, and vacuuming.
• Maintain accurate medical records and documentation of client care.
• Monitor and report any changes in client’s condition or behavior to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
• Assist with medication reminders and administration as directed by healthcare professionals.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Previous experience as a Personal care assistant or similar role is preferred.
• Knowledge of basic medical terminology and procedures.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently with minimal supervision.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Compassionate and caring attitude towards clients.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of client information.
