Job Overview:
As a Personal Care Assistant (PCA), you will provide essential care and support to individuals with various needs, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social well-being. Your responsibilities will include assisting with daily living activities, promoting independence, and enhancing the quality of life for our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide personal care services, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting assistance. Assist with mobility and transportation, ensuring clients’ safety and comfort. Help with meal preparation, feeding, and maintaining a clean and safe living environment. Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive and respectful relationship. Monitor clients’ health and report any changes to the healthcare team. Assist with light housekeeping tasks, such as laundry, cleaning, and organizing. Ensure clients’ medication schedules are followed (when applicable). Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any concerns to the supervisor.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in a caregiving role (preferred, but not required). Compassionate, patient, and trustworthy with a passion for helping others. Ability to follow care plans and work independently. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to lift and assist clients as needed. High school diploma or equivalent. CPR and First Aid certification (preferred, but can be obtained after hire). Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
