Respiratory Care Assistant / Respiratory Care / PRN 4.0 4.0 out of 5 stars 810 Fairgrove Church Rd, Hickory, NC 28602 Summary of Performance Expectations Evaluates patients in therapy and advises physicians on appropriate therapy modalities. Provides respiratory care to patients through administration of therapeutic gases and drugs, and by setting up and monitoring respirators and other devices. Patient population includes neo-nates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults and geriatrics.
Education and Credentials:
Required:
Student in Good Standing at CoARC approved Respiratory Care Program, maintaining a minimum grade of at least 2.0 in all RCP courses and an overall average of 2.0 must be maintained. Must have a current Provisional NC Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license. BCLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
ACLS, PALS, NRP
certified within three months of employment. Works under supervision in the following areas: ED, Floor Therapy, CCU.

Membership in AARC.
