The ideal candidate will provide essential support to patients in various settings, including nursing homes, clinics, and trauma centers. This role is crucial in delivering high-quality care and ensuring the comfort and well-being of patients, particularly those with memory care needs or behavioral health challenges. Responsibilities Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming. Monitor and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, and blood pressure. Provide support in memory care settings, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for patients. Collaborate with nursing staff to implement patient care plans effectively. Maintain cleanliness and organization of patient areas and equipment. Assist in the transport of patients to various departments within the facility, including OR and clinic settings. Utilize medical terminology accurately when documenting patient information in electronic health records systems like Cerner. Support individuals with disabilities by providing tailored assistance based on their unique needs. Skills Strong understanding of medical terminology related to patient care. Experience or familiarity with memory care practices is highly valued. Ability to work effectively in a Level II trauma center environment or similar healthcare settings. Compassionate approach to working with patients, particularly those facing behavioral health challenges. Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients, families, and healthcare professionals. Ability to perform physical tasks associated with patient care while adhering to safety protocols.
