$19.1K – $22.6K a year 1 day ago Qualifications BLS Certification Entry level Full Job Description Facility Highsmith Rainey Specialty Hospital Location Fayetteville, North Carolina Department Respiratory Care Services Job Family Allied Health Work Shift Variable (United States of America) Summary Maintains an adequate amount of supplies, medication, and medical gas tanks within the department. Takes care of accumulating dirty equipment and the processing of equipment. Administers medications via nebulizer, as well as, participating in other forms of intermittent non-invasive patient care. Does not participate in critical care or the care of unstable patients.

An Enrolled student in good standing of an AMA-approved Respiratory Care Program affiliated with Cape Fear Valley Health System. The educational institution will verify that the student is in good standing and has successfully completed a competency evaluation that certifies the student to be competent in Respiratory Care Procedures as defined by the North Carolina Respiratory Care Board; BCLS certification by the American Heart Association; Registration with the NCRCB as an RCA. Must have the ability to react calmly and maintain composure in stressful situations and when dealing with co-workers, patients, and hospital guests.

Must be able to communicate orally, have manual dexterity to operate and assemble equipment, visual acuity, able to stand or walk for long periods of time, able to position and move patients, and able to push heavy equipment to patients’ bedsides. This position may involve skin, eye, and mucous membranes with blood or other potentially infectious materials.
