Rocky Mount, NC A Caring Heart is seeking a compassionate and reliable Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide one-on-one support for an adult with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This is a part-time position with a consistent weekday schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide direct care and support tailored to the individual’s needs. Transport the consumer to and from their home daily. Engage the consumer in meaningful activities to promote independence and well-being. Ensure a safe and supportive environment.

Requirements:

Previous experience working with individuals with IDD is preferred but not required. Valid driver’s license with at least three years of driving experience and a reliable vehicle. Must be at least 18 years old. High school diploma or equivalent. Passion for working with individuals with disabilities. Ability to pass a background check. Why Join Us? About This Position (Habilitation Technician): All trainings will be provided by A Caring Heart. Habilitative services provide instruction to individuals to help them learn, retain, or improve skills for maximal functioning. Skill building focuses on self-care, household maintenance, social and communication skills, money management, social and community inclusion, mobility employment, and self-regulation. Services will be provided in the home, community and day program.
