The ideal candidate will assist individuals with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and safety while promoting independence. This role is crucial in delivering high-quality home care services to enhance the quality of life for our clients. Duties Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, grooming, and dressing. Monitor and record vital signs, ensuring any changes are communicated to healthcare professionals. Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary requirements and preferences. Assist clients with self-administration of medications. Provide catheter care and assist with other medical needs as directed by healthcare providers. Observe and report any changes in the client’s condition or behavior to the appropriate personnel. Maintain accurate medical records and documentation of care provided. Support clients with mobility and physical activities, ensuring safety at all times. Offer companionship and emotional support to enhance the client’s well-being. Assist with hospice care when necessary, providing comfort during end-of-life stages. Collaborate with family members and healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive care. Experience Previous experience in home care or a similar role is preferred but not required. Familiarity with medical terminology and basic healthcare practices is advantageous. Skills in patient observation and effective communication are essential for success in this role. A background in home community care or hospice care will be beneficial for candidates applying for this position.
