Home Care PCA and CNAs, Fulltime or Part-time Position Synopsis:
The Certified Nurse Aide or PCA – Home Care provides personal care services to participants of Elderhaus Inc., ensuring their comfort and well-being. Responsibilities include assisting with daily living activities, medication reminders, and performing essential household tasks. This role requires adherence to infection control protocols and compliance with federal and state regulations. Join our team to make a meaningful impact on the lives of our participants!
Essential Duties:
Provide personal care assistance according to the participant’s care plan, including bathing, grooming, dressing, mouth care, skin and hair care, and ambulation. Assist with self-administration of medication through verbal reminders. Perform essential household services, such as meal preparation, light housekeeping, laundry, and organizing. Report and record changes in the participant’s condition or family situation to Elderhaus staff, and follow the Infection Control Plan using universal precautions and appropriate PPE. Comply with federal and state regulations, work with assigned participants as needed, and complete other duties as assigned by the RN-Aide Supervisor or Agency Director.
Education:
High School diploma or GED required. Successful completion of a Nurse Aide I education program. Experience One year of experience providing care for elderly adults preferred.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required Qualifications:
1. Must have no findings of abuse on the NC DHSR Healthcare Registry. 2. Ability to follow oral and written instructions. 3. Submission of completed medical form required by
NC DHSR. 4.
Nationwide and North Carolina criminal background check. Other Qualifications 1. Must be at least 18 years of age. 2. Has completed a course in delivery of personal care services desired OR has one year experience in a health care setting. 3.Registration with the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services, Division of Health Service Regulation, Health Care Personnel Registry as a Certified Nursing Aide I (CNA-I).
