Comfort Keepers, a trusted leader in in-home senior care for over 20 years in the Upstate, is looking for a dependable, compassionate, and adaptable Field Relief Specialist to join our team. This is a field-first position , meaning the majority of your time will be spent in client homes, stepping in to provide care, build relationships, and ensure consistency in service delivery. While there are occasional office responsibilities, your primary focus will be in the field— ready and available to assist wherever and whenever client needs arise. Position Overview The Field Relief Specialist plays a key role in maintaining the high standard of care Comfort Keepers is known for. This role ensures that client services continue seamlessly by filling in during caregiver absences, supporting new client onboarding, resolving field-based issues, and acting as a trusted liaison between the office and the client’s home. The ideal candidate is flexible, quick to respond , and confident providing direct care, especially in unplanned or urgent situations. You’ll work closely with our care coordinators, office staff, and families to ensure every client receives timely, compassionate support. Key Responsibilities Be readily available to step in and provide direct, in-home care for clients as needed, often on short notice. Deliver a wide range of services including personal care (bathing, hygiene, feeding, mobility support), cognitive care, and companion care (light housekeeping, meal prep, medication reminders). Build trust with clients and families through consistent, high-quality care and communication. Identify and resolve client concerns in the field, coordinating with office staff as needed. Assist with new client starts, training caregivers, and supporting care transitions. Maintain accurate documentation and reports from field visits. Occasionally assist in the office with scheduling, care coordination, or staff support when not needed in the field. Qualifications High school diploma required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred. Prior experience in in-home care, healthcare, or senior services is required. CNA certification is encouraged but not required. Strong problem-solving and time management skills; able to make decisions independently. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Comfortable with technology (Microsoft Office, scheduling systems, mobile apps). Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and flexible availability required.
