As a Direct Support Professional, you will provide essential care and support to individuals with disabilities in a group home environment and day program. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of others.

Duties:

• Assist individuals with daily living activities (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
• Administer medications according to prescribed schedules and document medication administration
• Monitor vital signs and report any changes or concerns to the appropriate healthcare professionals
• Provide companionship and emotional support to individuals
• Assist with meal planning, preparation, and feeding if necessary
• Support individuals in participating in social and recreational activities
• Help individuals develop and maintain independent living skills
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of care provided

Requirements:

• Previous experience in caregiving or working with individuals with disabilities is preferred
• Familiarity with developmental disabilities and working with people on the autism spectrum is a plus
• Ability to effectively communicate and interact with individuals of diverse backgrounds and abilities
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
• Compassionate, patient, and empathetic nature
