Home Health Aide (HHA)/PCA Cassiopeia’s Home Care Agency Cary, NC 27513 Job Summary We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Home Health Aides to provide essential support to individuals in their homes. The ideal candidate will assist clients with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and safety while promoting independence. This role is crucial in enhancing the quality of life for seniors and individuals with disabilities, including those requiring memory and hospice care. Responsibilities Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, grooming, and dressing. Help with meal preparation and feeding as needed. Provide companionship and engage clients in social activities to enhance their well-being. Monitor and document client health status, reporting any changes to the healthcare team. Assist with medication reminders and ensure compliance with prescribed treatments. Support clients with mobility and transfers to prevent falls or injuries. Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping duties. Adhere to HIPAA regulations to protect client confidentiality and privacy. Skills Experience in senior care or home community care is preferred. Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to patient care. Familiarity with memory care techniques, particularly for clients with dementia. Understanding of HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining confidentiality. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is a plus. Strong patient observation skills to recognize changes in client conditions. Compassionate demeanor with excellent communication skills to interact effectively with clients and families. Ability to provide hospice care support when necessary, ensuring comfort during end-of-life stages.
