Patient Companion Home Life Wellness Raleigh, NC 27613 Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Home Care Aide to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to patient care, ensuring the comfort and well-being of clients in their homes or group home settings. This role requires a keen understanding of HIPAA regulations and the ability to observe and respond to the needs of patients, particularly those with memory care requirements or disabilities. Responsibilities Assist clients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation. Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the quality of life for clients. Monitor and document patient observations, reporting any changes in health or behavior to the appropriate healthcare professionals. Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping duties. Support clients with mobility assistance and transportation as needed. Adhere to HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality at all times. Collaborate with nurses and other healthcare team members to ensure comprehensive care for clients. Engage clients in meaningful activities that promote cognitive function and social interaction. Qualifications Previous experience in patient care or as a Home Care Aide is preferred but not required. Knowledge of memory care techniques and experience working with individuals with disabilities is a plus. Certification in CPR is highly desirable. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment. Compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life. Ability to follow care plans and instructions from healthcare professionals accurately. Must be reliable, punctual, and able to maintain professionalism at all times.
