Job Description:
A Caring Heart is seeking a dependable and compassionate Direct Support Professional (DSP) to join our Respite House team in Greenville. This is a weekday-only, daytime position supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a calm, residential setting. When the Respite House does not have residents, supplemental hours will be provided by serving as backup staff at our Day Program Center , ensuring you maintain full-time hours.
Responsibilities:
Provide care, supervision, and support to individuals in a Respite House setting Assist with daily activities such as hygiene, meals, and recreation Maintain a safe and supportive environment Follow individualized care plans and document daily activities Support the Day Program Center as needed when no residents are present in the Respite House Minimum requirements: High School Diploma or GED A valid driver’s license and 3 Years of previous driving experience Access to vehicle with valid NC minimum auto insurance, registration, and inspection Ability to communicate, read, write, and interpret English A sincere commitment to our guiding principles put the interests of the people we support first Preferred Experience Experience or familiarity with housekeeping, training staff, and being on-call. Must be dependable with a good work ethic. Background checks will be performed on all applicants. All trainings will be provided by A Caring Heart.
