8 Weeks initially. Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated Patient Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to patients and medical staff in various healthcare settings, ensuring a smooth and efficient patient care experience. Responsibilities Assist patients with daily activities and personal care tasks Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure patient needs are met Maintain accurate medical documentation and records Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes to the medical team Provide excellent customer service and compassionate care to patients Assist with medical equipment setup and maintenance Support patients in navigating healthcare systems and processes Qualifications Experience in hospital medicine, inpatient care, pediatrics, or assisted living preferred Proficiency in eClinicalWorks or similar electronic medical record systems Knowledge of durable medical equipment (DME) usage and maintenance Familiarity with critical care procedures and protocols Strong communication skills and a passion for patient service Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment Certification or training in patient care assistance is a plus
