Personal Care Assistant (PCA) Softsages Healthcare INC Concord, NH Job Summary As a Personal Care Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing direct support and assistance to individuals in need of personal care services. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the well-being and comfort of residents by assisting with daily living activities and promoting their independence. Duties Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting Provide emotional support and companionship to residents Monitor and record vital signs as needed Implement behavior management techniques when necessary Support residents with dementia care needs Ensure resident rights are respected at all times Collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate care plans Utilize systems for documenting resident care and progress Work with individuals with developmental disabilities in a compassionate and respectful manner Requirements Experience in senior care or related field is preferred Knowledge of direct support techniques and practices Ability to drive or arrange transportation for residents as needed Familiarity with behavior management strategies Understanding of vital signs monitoring Proficiency in dementia care approaches Strong interpersonal and communication skills Compassionate attitude towards working with individuals in need of care

Job Types:
