This role is crucial in enhancing the quality of life for clients, particularly those with disabilities, dementia, or those residing in assisted living facilities. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to patient care and demonstrate empathy and professionalism in all interactions. Responsibilities Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation. Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the well-being of clients. Monitor and document changes in clients’ conditions and report any concerns to healthcare professionals. Support clients with mobility and physical exercises as needed. Ensure a safe and clean environment by performing light housekeeping duties. Assist with medication reminders and adherence as directed by healthcare providers. Engage clients in social activities to promote mental stimulation and emotional health. Skills Experience in home health care or working with individuals with disabilities is preferred. Knowledge of dementia care practices is a plus. Ability to perform patient observation effectively, ensuring safety and comfort for clients. Familiarity with first aid and CPR techniques is beneficial. Skills in meal preparation that cater to dietary restrictions or preferences are essential. Understanding of long-term care principles and practices is advantageous.
